Oxybrasion does not cause any side effects. The treatment consists of intense exfoliation of dead skin cells with the simultaneous application of oxygen and flow of saline. Oxygen is used to stimulate the rebuilding of collagen fibres and capillaries, and disinfects the skin to inhibit the development of acne. The skin is treated with fragmented compressed oxygen drops of saline, which is dispersed on the surface of the skin causing friction. The exfoliation does not irritate the skin, and as such it is also recommended for people with sensitive skin or redness. It effectively relieves inflammation, moisturises, and softens the skin. Oxybrasion also helps with the regeneration of hair follicles for those suffering from hair loss, and gradually reduces the visibility of scars.
